Couple withdraw guilty pleas in elderly woman’s death

PHILADELPHIA: A man and woman have withdrawn their guilty pleas in the death of an elderly stroke victim in their care.

Police allege that a 70 year old was left in her own urine and feces and lost more than 100 pounds in a year while the couple looked after her.

Investigators allege that the victim wasn’t placed in an assisted living facility because the couple would no longer have received money from her trust fund.

The case will help determine new home care guidelines…
