NEW YORK: The hundred and eighty-fourth entry for the seniors housing Global Award for 2015 has been received.
Sioux City’s first cooperative housing facility offers independent residents ages 55 and older the opportunity to own a share in a cooperative corporation that finances and operates the facility.
The facility offers the choice of one- and two-bedroom, single level homes ranging from 874 to 1,416 square feet of living space. Each unit includes a full kitchen with appliances, master bedroom with a bathroom and a walk-in shower, laundry room air conditioning and a private balcony or patio.
There is also a three-story facility, which includes community areas such as a community room with kitchen, guest suite, club room, reading areas, outdoor planting areas, wood working shop, fitness center and underground heated parking.
