FORT WORTH: A new Center for Rehabilitation Education is being proposed. The center will focus on physical therapy, occupational therapy and exercise science.
One feature of the new center is the “easy street modules” — an assisted daily living simulated neighborhood with an apartment, garage, grocery store and street.
It will help prepare future occupational and physical therapists to evaluate and design therapy for clients that will in turn help them live independently in their homes and communities.
There will also be a “tele-health room,” which is designed to facilitate training in health care service in rural areas.
