NEW YORK: The six hundred and fifty-eighth entry for the seniors housing Global Awards for 2015 has been received.
The Sara Mayo Hospital at 625 Jackson Avenue was first built approximately 100 years ago. The development group now plans to retain the structure of the former Sara Mayo hospital, but add 17,500 square feet of commercial space and two-bedroom market-rate apartments.
The mix of multigenerational apartments in the building will be about 80 percent one-bedroom units of about 800 square feet, and 20 percent two-bedroom units of more like 1,000 to 1,300 square feet, developers said.
