Seniors housing developers compete for Global Award

NEW YORK: The six hundred and twenty-second entry for the seniors housing Global Awards for 2015 has been received.

Milwaukee developer Josh Jeffers plans an early September construction start for a 40-bed assisted living facility in Mount Pleasant.

The president of J. Jeffers & Co. said there is a lot of growth in the Racine County community, but a limited supply of assisted living beds. A similar demand is spurring senior apartment and assisted living facilities throughout the region. Jeffers also is completing construction on 48 beds in Cudahy, and plans to buy an existing facility in Howards Grove near Sheboygan this week.
