Retirement facility sued by woman allegedly injured by dog

CHICAGO: A woman is suing a retirement community claiming that a dog on the grounds of the facility knocked her to the ground and caused her to be injured.

The plaintiff asserts that she was visiting her sister on the second floor at the village, when she was suddenly and without warning knocked to the floor by a dog.

The defendant is accused of failing to see what should have been seen, failing to warn the general public of a dog on the premises, and failing to restrain the dog on the premises.

The plaintiff is seeking an unspecified amount in damages for physical pain, mental anguish, medical expenses and permanent injury and disability.
