NEW YORK: The four hundred and fortieth entry for the seniors housing Global Awards for 2015 has been received.
Architectural firm Shalom Baranes Associates has entered the affordable housing market with the design for Channing E. Phillips Homes, an eight-storey building now underway in the District and set to add 56 much needed affordable apartments to the historic Shaw neighborhood.
Two nonprofit affordable housing developers, AHC Inc. and Lincoln Westmoreland Housing Inc., are constructing the new building.
