Nursing homes major source of super bug infections in hospitals

CHICAGO: Nursing home residents appear to be significant carriers of super bug infections into hospitals, potentially putting other patients at risk.

This is the finding of a university study that has investigated management of infection in aged care facilities, and the over-prescription of antibiotics to residents.
