Multigenerational living concept needs better understanding

NEW YORK: There are two distinct strands to multigenerational living.

The first refers to a mix of generations occupying their own apartment within a single building.

The latter is mixed generational households, in which two or more generations share the same abode.

The two concepts are quite distinct but the media and the market are increasingly morphing the two into a single reference.
