SAN FRANCISCO: Honor, an agency that provides home aides, will provide a tablet-like device that will keep seniors informed when their care provider is en route and let them rate the care they receive.
And Honor will provide a smartphone app for seniors’ families so they can keep tabs on when a caregiver visits their family member.
Assisting an elderly person with activities of daily living — bathing, dressing and eating, for instance — is as low-tech and hands-on as it gets. But Honor hopes to use technology to rewire in-home care for seniors.
