MILWAUKEE: Even though floors need to be less slippery, doors wider to let wheelchairs or walkers through, and showers easier to enter, universal design is failing to win boomer embrace.
The utilitarian design is offensive. The gun barrel grey metal grab bar is the most obvious example.
Good design is still absent in universal design homes…
