Thinking about exercise may improve brain function

thinking DALLAS: The link between exercise and dementia could be stronger than initially thought, with new research showing that even thinking about exercise can be beneficial for brain function.

University of the Sunshine Coast researchers are working in collaboration with the German Sports University to investigate why exercise helps slow the progress of dementia.

Research leader Dr Chris Askew said they are looking into whether simulation, or even just thinking about exercise, might help improve the quality of life of dementia patients who cannot physically move.
