SEATTLE: A survey of 3,600 adults from all walks of life revealed the reasons why boomers are reluctant to leave their existing home. 29 per cent said, “I love my home,” 26 per cent said, “Family is close-by,” 17 per cent argued, “I don’t want to lose independence,” 12 per cent said, “I love my community,” 7 per cent had friends close-by and 7 per cent “couldn’t afford to move.”
