Steering committee evaluating interest in ‘virtual retirement community’

CLEVELAND: A nine-person steering committee is working to get a ‘virtual retirement community’ off the ground. The project will be modeled on the Beacon Hill Project.

Virtual retirement communities are member-owned organizations that coordinate access to support services to allow seniors to live as long as possible in their own homes.

The steering committee is hoping to hear from 200 interested residents before entering into the next phase of development, which would involve raising funds to hire a part-time executive director to get the program rolling…
