SAN DIEGO: The six hundred and twenty-first entry for the seniors housing Global Awards for 2015 has been received.
A $39 million plan to complete the regeneration of the Anderston area of Glasgow will see the return of Victorian values to the city.
The new master plan for Anderston Phase 4 and 5 seeks “to reinstate the historic Victorian street pattern”, in the words of Collective Architecture who have designed the project on behalf of the Sanctuary Scotland Housing Association.
A total of 206 homes will be provided in the final phase of an eight-year program to regenerate Anderston, which had become a byword for ugly 1960s concrete block development.
There will be a mix of properties for social and mid-market rent as well as shared equity, while the scheme will front a busy junction on St Vincent Street presently occupied by a 10-storey block and several smaller blocks, all of which are currently being demolished.
