Seniors housing developers compete for Global Award

NEW YORK: The four hundred and seventy-fifth entry for the seniors housing Global Awards for 2015 has been received.

A 75-unit affordable housing project has opened in San Francisco’s North Beach neighborhood after the non-profit developer spent about five years finding financing.

Affordable developer Chinatown Community Development Center financed the $38 million project at 255 Broadway from a mix of 10 public and private sources, highlighting the challenge and complexity of building affordable housing.
