NEW YORK: The four hundred and thirty-first entry for the seniors housing Global Awards for 2015 has been received.
Nick Turner’s affordable home design took top honors in the Can I Be Your Neighbor Design Challenge.
Turner, a senior at Ankeny Centennial High School, received a $2,000 scholarship from the Home Builders Association of Greater Des Moines.
Each finalist had up to five minutes to present a design, followed by a question and answer session with a panel of judges from the Home Builders Association of Greater Des Moines, ASK Studio, Knapp Properties, Grand Homes & Renovations, and two tenants from Anawim Housing, which provides affordable rental housing for low-income families.
