Seniors housing developers compete for Global Award

NEW YORK: The three hundred and eighty-eighth entry for the seniors housing Global Awards for 2015 has been received.

When The Jefferson, the 70-unit apartment community for seniors on Corbin Avenue, officially opened last May, Pennrose Properties promised residents amenities designed to make their life more enjoyable and features that were both modern and centered on comfort.

Jay Chapman, CEO and president of Capstone Building Corp. of Birmingham, Ala., isn’t surprised.

“‘The Jeff’s’ residents are enjoying energy-efficient, high-quality building at a low cost,” he said.
