NEW YORK: The three hundred and forty-third entry for the seniors housing Global Awards for 2015 has been received.
Monadnock Development has been chosen to build 208 units of affordable housing in a feng shui-oriented development in Flushing, Queens.
The project, designed by Bernheimer Architecture, will be named One Flushing, and will feature solar panels, a rooftop farm, ground-floor retail, and community space for nonprofit groups Asian Americans for Equality and HANAC, who are also co-developing One Flushing along with Monadnock.
60 of the apartments will be set aside for seniors.
