Seniors housing developers compete for Global Award

NEW YORK: The three hundred and ninth entry for the seniors housing Global Award for 2015 has been received.

The Chula Vista City Council has part funded a 210-unit affordable-housing project in the heart of Otay Ranch for low-income seniors and families.

Last December, the council approved issuing state housing bonds and tax credits that are expected to cover about 68 percent of the project’s estimated $59.2 million cost.
