NEW YORK: The two hundred and ninety-second entry for the seniors housing Global Award for 2015 has been received.
Cherrywood Pointe of Forest Lake has 96 apartments designed to aid seniors with a variety of health care needs. A portion of these apartments are specially designed to aid seniors with memory loss or high acuity care needs. Other living options include independent living and assisted living.
The 22 memory care apartments are located in a controlled access area so that residents who wander can remain safe. This area has family-style living and dining areas and an outdoor garden.
The independent living suites come with full kitchens, multiple floor plan choices and the option to have a deck.
There are also two high-level care suites that offer the comforts of home but with enhanced services. They are designed for those needing closer observation and high levels of service and assistance.
