Seniors housing developers compete for Global Award

trophy NEW YORK: The five hundred and twenty-fourth entry for the seniors housing Global Awards 2016 has been received.

Ground could be broken next month for Lake Health’s 86,000-square-foot wellness and aquatic center in Mentor.

The final site plan for the project, slated for about 9 acres of vacant land at 8655 Market St., was approved by Mentor Planning Commission on Aug. 18.

“We are extremely excited that the final site plan has been approved,” said Rick Cicero, Lake Health’s senior vice president of business development. “The next step is for City Council to approve the project.

“We expect to break ground in September or October with the new facility opening in late 2017 or early 2018.”
