Retirement housing innovation holding farmers in rural environment

TULSA: A farmer is recycling turn of the century farm-worker huts on his property into retirement studios.

The farmer’s self interest is an additional revenue stream, but he has ‘accidentally’ created a solution to a long term rural dilemma.

There is now a methodology for staying on the land and not being ‘forcibly removed to town’.

And the rural community has a source of experienced casual labor, management ‘locums’, and working dogs get to continue to live with their master…
