Research based on too narrow sampling to be authoritative

HOUSTON: Combining housing, health and social care services can have a dramatic impact on the quality of life of older people, whilst cutting costs at the same time, claims new research revealed today.

The results of a three-year study highlights the “myriad” benefits of allowing older people to remain independent, whilst living in a extra care village environment with on-site support services.

But the 195 person sample drawn from two narrow geographic regions is too small a sample to be authoritative…
