Report highlights most common care violations in assisted living

BOSTON: A new report from an assisted living association claims that the rate of compliance has improved, and that deficiencies are on the wane. The five areas of improvement were reported as being:

5. More thorough staff training.

There are certain requirements concerning training for assisted living caregiving staff. When a staff member misses an aspect of training, begins work before training is complete, or has a training certification that lapses, the employing provider is considered deficient as regulators. A modest 5% improvement was seen in this area, year-over-year.
