Report highlights most common care violations in assisted living

BOSTON: A new report from an assisted living association claims that the rate of compliance has improved, and that deficiencies are on the wane. The five areas of improvement were reported as being:

4. Better tracking of resident well-being.

Ongoing resident assessments are important because seniors needs change. It is vital for communities to be aware of a change in a resident’s health status or level of functioning so that their care plan can be adjusted accordingly. Provider’s efforts led to an 8% improvement in this area in the past year.
