NEW YORK: A Regional Awards section will be added to the Global Seniors Housing Award being held in London later this year.
60 extra-care apartments are to be developed on the former Martello Caravan Park site in Walton, UK.
Developer Ashley House has been given the go-ahead by Tendring Council planning officers, despite opposition from Frinton and Walton Town Council.
The plan includes 48 single-bed apartments and 12 double units. It will be built on the middle part of the former caravan site, overlooking the Martello Tower.
The apartments will be a type of sheltered housing, allowing residents to live independently, but with support.
