Pressure being applied to have church give up land for social housing

WASHINGTON D.C.: The major churches are being pressured via a new report to sell off some of their vast land bank to help ease an affordable housing crisis.

The churches are amongst the largest landowners and have a duty to use their assets to help create cheap homes for the elderly poor, says the report.
