PHOENIX: The Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) has released a report on the housing challenges being faced by the elderly living in urban environments.
The report looks at how various cities are coping with the challenge.
1. Cologne, Germany started a program that lets students move in with seniors for free, in return for acting as caregivers. The city is also encouraging small shops to relocate to residential areas, to make shopping easier for seniors who can’t use cars.
