Not-for-profit wants to do multigenerational project

TAMPA: Residents of the neighborhood have expressed enthusiasm for a proposal which would give a community center a new lease of life.

The not-for-profit has a proposal for the former school building that would include senior apartments, child care and office space.

The reimagined complex would include 19 one-bedroom and seven 2-bedroom apartments intended solely for seniors. Apartments would be on the second and third floors, while the first floor would have a mix of uses.
