Next generation will see rest homes as form of age concentration camp

MINNEAPOLIS: Every generation comes to view some of the actions of the previous generation as reprehensible, immoral and sanctionable at law.

Nuns selling the children of ‘unwed’ young mothers to fund convents; the shooting of Aboriginals for sport; electro shock treatment for the mentally ill; camps to reverse gayness; and the institutionalisation of the infirm were all once considered acceptable conduct.
