LOS ANGELES: A planning panel has voted against extending approval for a 42-unit affordable housing project in a move the developer said could land it in court on a discrimination suit.
Planners announced last month that the developer needed to move forward on its project and seek building permits by July 23 or restart the review process. The developer has been before the board with various project plans since 2009 for its plot of land. The latest is mixed-use housing for seniors, low-income families and the disabled.
