Hypertension is possible factor for lowering risk of developing Alzheimer’s

SAN FRANSISCO: A study claims a link between high blood pressure and a reduced risk for Alzheimer’s disease.

Researchers examined more than 17,000 respondents who were genetically predisposed to high blood pressure and another 37,000 plus participants who didn’t have the disease in their genes. Researchers studied all possibilities that Alzheimer’s may be linked to other diseases such as high cholesterol, obesity, diabetes and high blood pressure. They also looked into contributory practices such as smoking.
