High rents driving homelessness rates for elderly

SAN FRANCISCO: A report released today claims that a rising divorce rate for the over 60s and a lack of affordable housing is the core of a growing elderly homelessness trend.

Homelessness amongst the elderly is up 30 per cent in the past year, according to the report.
