DETROIT: More than 80% of not-for-profit social housing entities now pay their board members, according to new research.
The study also found that 60% specifically disclosed the amount paid to the chair, down from 70% last year, while the average chair salary was $35, 376.
Other key findings include: information given about board members is still very limited – for example 53% of financial statements provide the names of board members without an explanation of the role they play.
