MEMPHIS: Brain awareness has become a global campaign to increase public understanding and support for brain research.
The campaign is focused on brain health and usage.
There are eleven exercises that, if regularly undertaken, can improve brain capacity.
1. Be different: It’s easy to get stuck in a rut, but don’t. “A normal routine drains our brains,” says Dr Shaw, so whether you go to a different museum or swap your normal walk to work for a different route, “it really can be big or small but encourage yourself to step away from the norm”. Even something as simple as getting dressed with your eyes closed can up these “neurobics” skills, combining senses to make your brain work harder.
