Dementia wanderers issue destroying public image of skilled nursing homes

COLUMBUS: The image of the police being called in to search for dementia wanderers from skilled nursing homes is traducing the safe haven image of care custodians, and is opening up the management and staff to the increasing propensity to pursue civil damages and criminal prosecution.

Skilled nursing home owners don’t appear to believe implied and specified service warranties apply.

Lawsuits will eventually put them out of business.
