Age care compounds becoming soft crime targets

But evidence is mounting that age-apartheid compounds are increasingly becoming soft crime targets and the care sector is trashing its reputation by doing nothing to effectively counter the growing threat.

712: A care worker has been jailed for two-and-a-half years after he sexually assaulted an “utterly defenceless” woman with advanced cancer.

He was employed by an agency and took advantage of her vulnerability as she lay helpless on a bed in a nursing home last January.
