But evidence is mounting that age-apartheid compounds are increasingly becoming soft crime targets and the care sector is trashing its reputation by doing nothing to effectively counter the growing threat.

627: A skilled nursing home worker involved in “a pattern of physical and emotional abuse” towards residents has been struck off.

The care worker was found to have “misused her power” over a 99-year-old woman and a man with dementia.
