Scientists identify ‘ouch zone’ in brain

CHICAGO: Scientists have identified an area in the brain directly related to pain intensity that can be switched off in patients suffering from uncontrollable pain.

The finding could help detect pain in people with limited communication abilities such as those in a coma, small children and dementia patients, researchers found.
