Seniors housing developers compete for Global Award

trophyNEW YORK: The five hundred and sixty-fourth entry for the seniors housing Global Awards 2016 has been received.

A 56-unit apartment complex just north of Downtown Albuquerque recently opened.

While the apartment complex is walking distance to Tractor Brewing Co. and brunch hotspot Slate Street Cafe, the units aren’t geared toward millennials or high-end loft dwellers, but rather senior citizens.

The development includes 13 studios, 23 one-bedroom units and 20 two-bedroom apartments that are rented to seniors who fall in the 30 to 60 percent of the area median income.
