Seniors housing developers compete for Global Award

trophy NEW YORK: The one hundred and sixth entry for the seniors housing Global Awards 2016 has been received.

The Park Ridge City Council could vote next month on whether to allow construction of a 110-bed assisted living facility and retail building on vacant land that was once home to a car dealership.

Plans for the development, proposed for approximately three acres on the west side of Greenwood Avenue between Busse and Northwest Highways, were approved by the Park Ridge Planning and Zoning Commission Feb. 9.

The commission is also recommending the City Council approve a special-use permit for the assisted living component.
