NEW YORK: A developer is focusing on projects with fewer apartments, saying the core market of downsizers want “more intimate” developments.
The developer, whose business has built projects with as many as 170 apartments, said he wouldn’t build such large blocks again, because the market had undergone a shift.
Core demand was coming now from couples in the 55 to 60 age bracket, possibly with an older child in tow, and who found the change to an apartment building hard enough, let alone a large tower…
