But evidence is mounting that age-apartheid compounds are increasingly becoming soft crime targets and the care sector is trashing its reputation by doing nothing to effectively counter the growing threat.

611: A former home-care worker will be sentenced in January on 13 fraud-related charges involving elderly clients.

He pleaded guilty in court to nine counts of uttering forged documents, three counts of forgery and one count of possession of stolen property.
