Age care compounds becoming soft crime targets

But evidence is mounting that age-apartheid compounds are increasingly becoming soft crime targets and the care sector is trashing its reputation by doing nothing to effectively counter the growing threat:

393: The two people charged with stealing and pawning the jewellery of numerous nursing-home residents will be spending some time behind bars.

According to investigators, some of the stolen jewellery included wedding rings taken from the victims’ fingers while they were asleep.
