NEW YORK: The seven hundred and seventh entry for the seniors housing Global Awards for 2015 has been received.
Mae Architects has won planning for a new baby boomer retirement home opposite Channel 4’s HQ on Horseferry Road in Victoria, Westminster
The practice has been given the green light to redevelop Grenadier House – formerly used by the Ministry of Justice – on behalf of retirement specialist PegasusLife.
The new scheme will provide 36 self-contained, assisted living flats on five floors together with communal kitchen-café, storage areas, wellness centre/spa, guest accommodation, and apartments for staff.
The 6,580m² development replaces the existing 1980s scheme Grenadier House with two linked six-storey buildings which feature an internal courtyard, roof terrace and a basement storage and car park for 36 cars, 36 bicycles and four mobility scooters…
