CHICAGO: A new micro housing development is heading for approval this month.
Amber Properties is set to develop a 36-unit luxury studio apartment complex.
The developer hopes to start construction by the end of the year and no later than the spring of next year.
The estimated 315-square-foot micro apartments would be targeted at seniors.
The developer claims seniors have less stuff, don’t want to entertain in their living spaces and want to live alone. He said many also rely on public transportation and paid services like Uber, or they live within walking distance of their jobs, so they don’t have vehicles…
