Builder set to sue over elder housing denial

gavelNEW YORK: A prominent developer and his business partner are suing for alleged discriminatory zoning practices against the elderly, the disabled and those of low to moderate income.

The lawsuit seeks to have zoning practices declared illegal. The pair have been blocked from building a 282-unit development on land they own on the edge of the city. All units were to accommodate the elderly or disabled.
