NEW YORK: The six hundred and forty-first entry for the seniors housing Global Awards for 2015 has been received.
A senior housing development is in the works for property north of the community center, and it could open up the area for further development.
As part of the proposal by Debra Hart with Housing Plus, LLC, a new road called Timber Drive would allow access into the development from Jefferson Parkway.
“The road would be built to city standards, and would actually open up the property for (further) development,” Hart said.
Harrisonville’s Planning and Zoning Commission voted unanimously to rezone the property north of the community center, allowing for multi-family dwellings.
Hart is in the process of purchasing the 10-acre tract from the Welborn family. She plans to build fourplexes there for the senior housing community…
