NEW YORK: The six hundred and eighth entry for the seniors housing Global Awards for 2015 has been received.
Developer Caddis Partners LLC has awarded McShane Construction Company a new luxury 108-unit Heartis Assisted Living and Memory Care community in Peoria, Ill. The senior living community is being constructed on a seven-acre site at 8201 North Illinois Rt. 91 in Peoria.
The community will feature two adjoined components. The first is a single-story, 36-unit memory care structure. Each unit in this building will have an efficient studio floor plan with private bathroom and direct access to common areas and dining facilities. Therapy rooms, activities center, sun room, salon and secured outdoor space are among the features of the memory care portion that will help foster a sense of well-being among residents with Alzheimer’s Disease and other forms of dementia.
The second part of the community is a three-story residential building with 72 studio, one- and two-bedroom assisted living apartments. This structure will feature a sprawling dining room, adjacent commercial kitchen, library, computer room, bistro bar, salon and interior and exterior gathering areas.
The 97,000-square-foot community will be clad in a blend of finishes including cement board, siding, clad stone veneer, stucco and masonry, which will decoratively accent Juliet balconies, cedar trellises and elegant window lines.
